Yes, the deposit is refundable if your bid is unsuccessful. 

Every HMGICS membership account is only entitled to submit bids for 1 number plate. 

Individuals will be given an option to bid under a corporate entity. But it is required to be declared right before the bid. 

Registration of the vehicle will be done under the corporate entity and all tax incentives will only be applicable to the corporate entity as the rightful owner.

Any requests to switch to a corporate entity midway through the process will not be entertained.

Once you have placed your bid, you will not be allowed to withdraw your bid during the bidding period, regardless of the bid status.

You can only place bids or amend bids at intervals of 15 minutes, i.e. if you have placed your bid at 8:01am, your next window to make amendments will be at 8:16am. 

The live bidding results will be refreshed every 15 minutes and are the most accurate at that point of time.

Bidding for another individual is not allowed. 

Unfortunately, bidding changes are only allowed if you wish to bid higher than your current bid or existing bid. You will not be allowed to lower your existing bid once it has been placed.

However, if you wish to change your bid to another number plate, you can start with a lower bid.

Should your bid be successful, but you don't wish to fulfil conditions 1 & 2 (completing donation or signing vehicle purchase agreement & completing payment of S$15,000 deposit), your deposit of S$1,000 will be forfeited and the winning number plate will be rescinded.

The Hyundai Motor Group Innovation Center in Singapore (HMGICS) has opened the doors to infinite possibilities and will be producing the first EVs in Singapore. 

To commemorate this special milestone, HMGICS will be releasing 100 units of the IONIQ 5 First 100 edition which was made available for bidding in January 2023. The 2 ^nd round of Charity bidding will commence at 10am on Tuesday, 7 February 2023, and will end at 6pm, Thursday, 9 February. 

The IONIQ 5 First 100 EVs are born to stand out with their signature Gravity Gold Matte exteriors, Dark Pebble Grey interiors, Signature First 100 badges, inaugural debossed seats, and specially prefixed ‘EVS’ Vehicle Registration Numbers (VRN) from EVS 1L to EVS 100J. Short for EV made in SG, the EVS number plates reflect this special edition’s exclusivity.

No, you do not need to bid for the COE on your own. At HMGICS, we will inform you on your next steps once your bid has been successful.

Successful bidders who have fulfilled all special conditions may be eligible to claim tax relief from his/her donation to President’s Challenge on their donation amount less the base bid amount plus GST on the base bid amount (S$1,080.00).

For purposes of this clause, the base bid amount refers to the minimum bid amount of S$1,000 required for the bidding event. The tax relief is subject to IRAS’s terms and conditions.

All proceeds from the charity auction will be fully donated to the President’s Challenge.

The expected delivery date of the vehicle is June 2023, but is subject to adjustment.

In the event of a tie in the bid amount, the timing of bid/revised bid will be taken into account and will be awarded to the fastest bidder.

Winning bids are not transferable.

Requests such as a change in interior colour, specifications or removal of the IONIQ 5 First 100 special edition package will not be considered.

The specially prefixed ‘EVS’ Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) cannot be retained and used on any other vehicle.  In the event of a sale of the vehicle, the special Vehicle Registration Number will be transferred together with the vehicle to the next owner.

The IONIQ 5 First 100 edition specially prefixed ‘EVS’ Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) must be used only on the specific vehicle for which it has been assigned.

Regardless of whether the COE of the vehicle is renewed, the IONIQ 5 First 100 edition’s specially prefixed ‘EVS’ Vehicle Registration Number (VRN)  has to remain on the same vehicle

Customers can revalidate COE for the same vehicle with the same specially prefixed ‘EVS’ Vehicle Registration Number (VRN) even after completing the 10 year vehicle ownership.
